Under the Santacruz-Chembur Link Road project, slum dwellers living under the present day bridge faced eviction. NSDF surveyed the community, worked with government agencies, and successfully rehabilitated over 4,500 families to areas like Mankhurd, Govandi, Kanjurmarg, and BKC, ensuring they had secure housing before relocation. And finally Santacruz-Chembur Link Road was created.
